About the Role:
Are you ready to make a significant impact? We’re seeking a dynamic Chief Advisor to partner with our Chief Executive, providing strategic counsel and high-level support that drives our Ministry's vision forward.
In this pivotal role, you’ll not only advise and represent the CE within the Ministry and beyond, but you’ll also play a crucial part in enhancing decision-making and executing our strategic objectives. Bring your thought leadership to the table, foster innovative solutions, and maintain essential connections to ensure we seize opportunities and navigate challenges effectively.
You’ll work closely with our Senior Leadership Team, championing collaboration and facilitating the implementation of key decisions while engaging with our talented team and vital stakeholders.

About you:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a deep understanding of Government dynamics, able to leverage your expertise in the intricacies of government machinery and public sector processes to navigate and influence impactful change
- Is a proactive problem solver being able to stay ahead of the curve by anticipating complex challenges, identifying critical indicators for intervention, and skilfully mitigating potential roadblocks and unintended consequences
- Is an agile thinker while under pressure, thrives in fast-paced environments by quickly mastering new and complex concepts, delivering insightful advice, and maintaining composure in ambiguous situations
- Can champion change and innovation, drive transformative initiatives within the Ministry, cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability that inspires others
- Is an exceptional communicator at all levels, builds strong relationships and provides trusted counsel to senior leaders, including Ministers, through clear, engaging and insightful writing
- Multitasks effortlessly while juggling multiple priorities, swiftly reprioritising to address emerging issues seamlessly
- Continuously monitors for indicators of potential challenges, proactively tackling issues before they escalate while safeguarding organisational goals.
