About the Role
We are seeking an experienced legal practitioner to join a professional and results driven legal team.
As an in-house lawyer at our Ministry, you will be responsible for providing robust and practical legal advice on a range of issues to help produce well-reasoned and high-quality decisions.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
has a tertiary qualification in law and currently holds (or is eligible to hold) a practising certificate;
has at least 6 years’ PQE;
thrives on diverse and intellectually stimulating legal work;
exercises sound judgement;
has experience in advising on, and preparing drafting instructions relating to, primary and secondary legislation; and
has the ability to work at a fast pace, quickly grasp new and complex concepts and is comfortable operating in ambiguity.

Salary range: $127,142 - $168,973 with appointment salary dependent on skills and experience.
